Vodafone BlackBerry Customers Can Now Update To The BlackBerry 6 OS

If you own a BlackBerry Bold 9700, a BlackBerry Curve 3G or a BlackBerry Pearl 3G and are a Vodafone customer, you might want to plug your phone into your PC and get updating, with RIM announcing that Vodafone BlackBerry customers can now update their smartphones to the BlackBerry 6 operating system.

The update, which brings a completely overhauled UI, a wireless music sync function, and social networking integration, is a fairly major one for the smartphone maker, and a huge step forward for an operating system that is traditionally seen as languishing behind the likes of iOS and Android.

If you have one of the compatible phones and are on the Vodafone network, plug your phone into your PC and point your browser at Blackberry.com/update.
