Freaky Ideal Beauty Masks Are Perfect For Uncanny Valley Cosplay

The last time we looked at Meike Harde’s work, it was a beautiful hand mixer called the Quix that sadly may never see the light of day. This time, however, it’s a series of masks portraying the media’s idealised image of beauty that we’d be happy to never encounter in real life.

In fact, the term “uncanny valley” doesn’t even begin to describe just how unsettling you’ll look wearing these Too Beautiful To Be True masks which cover your eyes, nose, and mouth, horribly distorting your face. If you thought computer-generated humans, or our best attempts at realistic androids were disturbing, these will surely fuel a couple weeks’ worth of nightmares.
