Today, Space Shuttle Enterprise is making its way up the Hudson River towards the Intrepid Sea, Air and Space Museum. See a snippet of the journey, which was rather fantastic, in this video.
Though Enterprise didn’t exactly make it unscathed — the barge driver smashed part of a wing into the side of a dock — this clip is the kind of thing that makes Americans feel a little patriotic. You’ve got a beast of space exploration floating along, framed by the New York City skyline, passing by the Statue of Liberty. It is undeniable awesome. [NoCommentTV]
