Sustainable Wooden Speakers For Ethical Audiophiles

Sustainable Wooden Speakers For Ethical Audiophiles

If you’re just as concerned by the origins of your technology as their quality, then these speakers could be just the thing you’re after. Designed by Neue Werkstatt, the NW3 speaker series combines audio hardware from danish audio company Peerless with cases handmade n a small German carpenters’ workshop using sustainably harvested pine wood.

The cases are stained with solvent-free colour pigments and protected with natural wax, and internal insulation’s supplied by natural wool to help improve audio fidelity.

The result is a set of clean, crisp-looking speakers that deliver decent sound whilst also making you feel like a good person. Availability and pricing are as yet unknown. [Neue Werkstatt via Design Boom]
