Ever wondered how weird-eyed animals like flies and chameleons see the world? Now you can take a look for yourself.
We’ve shown you simulations of how different animals — cats, dogs, rats, hawks and bees — see the world before. But this time, the videos show footage taken from real-world devices that replicate the visual capacities of animals with even weirder sight: flies and chameleons.
The results, as you’ll see, are pretty crazy. You can see users able to walk backwards through doorways, see huge sweeping panoramas at once, and even look in a crazy multitude of angles without moving their head at all. But, hey, I bet they’re not suited to staring at a monitor all day are they, hmmm? [New Scientist]
