Starting today, Snapchat has made one of its most defining features – the ten second time limits on snaps – an option rather than a rule.
“We’ve all felt the frustration of not being able to fully enjoy a Snap – even after replaying it – and we wanted to give you the option of allowing the recipient to enjoy your Snap as long as they’d like,” Snap said in a blog post. “After your friend finishes viewing the Snap and taps to close it, it will delete as usual.”
Starting today, you can tap an infinity symbol to record for as long as you like. You can also make the video loop, if you like, kind of like Vine. You’ll need to update your app to see the changes.
There’s also a “magic eraser” to remove unwanted stuff from your pics (bye, dirty washing on the floor), the ability to doodle with an emoji, and the Creative Tools will now run vertically along the right-hand side of the preview screen.
