As epic as the early footage of Avengers: Infinity War is, it doesn’t really tell you all that much about the film’s plot. Sure, we know that Thor ends up with the Guardians of the Galaxy and that Black Panther and the Winter Soldier are going to team up, but it remains to be seen just how all the pieces fit together.

In a recent interview with MTV, Sebastian Stan described just what a dizzying experience simply being on set for Infinity War was, to say nothing of actually trying to make sense of the movie in a narrative sense. Though Stan didn’t give away any specifics about which characters might meed their end in their fight against Thanos, when talking about his time shooting, the actor curiously brought up Jon Snow:
Said Stan:
I feel a lot like that Jon Snow character [in] “Battle of the Bastards”. When there’s that shot of Jon Snow, from the back as horses are charging at him and he’s just standing there, that’s kind of how I feel on set at times. Will I make this stampede or not?
Literally, it makes sense that whatever Bucky Barnes and the Wakandan army are getting into involves a fair amount of Bucky being physically overwhelmed by whatever nefariousness Thanos cooks up. Metaphorically, poor Stan, as an actor, seems a bit overwhelmed. Or you could also interpret Stan’s comments to mean that he’s going to die and come back to life. It’s all a matter of perspective, really.
