It’s been a while since Emma Swan (Jennifer Morrison), Snow White (Ginnifer Goodwin) and Prince Charming (Josh Dallas) have set foot in Storybrooke. Since their departure, Once Upon a Time has tanked, leading to the storybook being closed for good at the end of this season. Now, it looks like the Charming family is coming back to town, one last time.

Variety is reporting that Morrison, Goodwin, Dallas and Emilie de Ravin (Belle) will all reprise their roles for the series finale of Once Upon a Time, joining the likes of Lana Parrilla (Regina), Colin O’Donoghue (Captain Hook) and Robert Carlyle (Rumplestiltskin), who stayed on after the soft reboot that aged the show and moved it to Seattle. Many of the original actors left the series after season six, when their contracts expired, and it was uncertain whether they’d actually come back for the final episode, called “Leaving Storybrooke”.

But it looks as though it’s going to be a bonafide Storybrooke reunion for Once Upon a Time. In addition to the core cast, we’ll also see the return of characters such as Granny, Leroy, Peter Pan, Robin Hood and Cruella De Vil (my personal favourite). Even Jared Gilmore is coming back as younger Henry, a role that’s since been filled by Andrew J. West. Sadly, no word yet whether Meghan Ory, who played Red Riding Hood for several seasons, will be coming back to say goodbye.
The final episode of Once Upon a Time will come out in the US in May.
