The fifth iteration of Google’s Pixel is set to release in Australia next week on October 15. If you’re looking to pick one up, a fair few telcos are currently offering discounted mobile plans and/or bonus gifts if you pre-order the Google Pixel 5 through them.

Telstra Google Pixel 5 plans

Telstra’s cheapest plan will set you back $96.62/month and give you 40GB of data. However, if you want to speed an extra $10 a month you can double that data to a nice 80GB.

If you pick up a Pixel 5 through Telstra before November 26, you’ll also get a bonus Google Nest Hub Max, regardless of which plan you choose.

Optus Pixel 5 plans

Optus’ cheapest Google Pixel 5 plan costs $74.61 per month, and you’ll get a pretty finite 10GB of data per month. You’ll get better value paying $84.61 per month, which will give you solid 60GB of data.

Optus will also give you 200GB of data for $94.61 per month, which stacks up quite nicely when compared to Telstra’s $96.62/month plan.

If you pre-order your Pixel 5 on Optus, you’ll get a $144 discount if you stay with them for 24 months..

Vodafone Pixel 5 plans

Compared to Telstra and Optus, Vodafone’s biggest draw is the quality of their smaller plans in terms of data. They fill the gap of Optus’ 10GB to 60GB plans, and are generally cheaper than Telstra’s plans. Vodafone’s Lite and Lite+ plans will give you 30GB at $76.62/month and 40GB at $81.62/month, respectively.

If you’re after a plan with a lot of data, Vodafone is offering one that costs $96.62 per month and will give you 100GB each month. That’s not quite as good as the Optus’ $94.61/month plan, but still better value than Telstra’s $96.62/month plan.

If you pre-order your Pixel through Vodafone, you’ll get a bonus Google Nest Audio.

In addition, Vodafone is currently offering discounts on most of their base plans until October 13. Those plans are as follows:

  • $35 per month with 30GB (normally $40 per month for 10GB)
  • $40 per month with 40GB (normally $45 per month for 30GB)
  • $45 per month with 60GB (normally $55 per month)
  • $55 per month with 100GB (normally $65 per month)
  • $100 per month with 150GB (normally $120 per month)

If you grab a Pixel 5 on one of these Vodafone plans, you’ll get the bonus data and discount for the life of your plan.
