Chart: Looking for a new phone? Here are the best Android smartphones available in Australia as of April 28, 2015.
Gizmodo includes scores (out of 100) on Australian reviews: full ‘How We Rate’ info available here. That scoring is reflected in this chart, along with scores from a selection of other leading tech sites. In doing so, our goal is to make this meta-chart as useful as possible to you.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 was bumped into sixth potition and, notably, the HTC One (M9) ranked behind it, the LG G3 and last year’s HTC One (M8).
We’ll be looking forward to see how things shake up with incoming LG G4. Then there’s the potential for localised/international variants of the HTC One (M9)+ and Sony Xperia Z4 — currently China and Japan-only, respectively.

What’s next as we march towards 2016? The Galaxy Note 5 (with the third iteration of Gear VR), maybe a new Nexus, the bezeless Oppo R7 and the OnePlus 2. Asus should also have something new at Computex in June. We won’t update this chart for every new phone launch, but will maintain it enough to ensure it stays current.
Note: We’ve not included pricing in the table as this can change regularly, and differs between various telco plans. Use the Dick Smith links to get a guide to current costs.
