In this week’s app roundup: photos, automatically shared; pictures, wirelessly synced; fantasy baseball drafts, prepared; live wallpapers, personalised; disasters, alerted; movie clips, single served; your drunken night, erased from social networks, and much much more.
The week’s best iPhone apps
Color: A new sort of social network/photo sharing app, colour uses your phone’s sensors to find other colour users who you’re in proximity to. Once found, the app will automatically add them to your “elastic network”, which means you can see every picture they take from now on. It can be potentially amazing for concerts, events, and parties but is kind of confusing and awkward to use when you’re just sitting at home. Check out the rest of this week’s best iPhone apps here.
The week’s best Android apps
PhotoWall Live Wallpaper: PhotoWall Live Wallpaper makes live wallpapers intensely personal. It goes beyond using the pictures in your gallery and extends to Facebook. The app can suck your Facebook pictures, your friends’ Facebook pictures and any pictures you’re tagged in to make a neat wallpaper. Check out the rest of this week’s best Android apps here.
The week’s best iPad apps
PhotoSync: A wireless photo syncing app that drops photos to and fro your iPad, iPhone or computer without any cables whatsoever. For example, let’s say you have pictures on your iPad you want to move to your computer. The app displays the images in your camera roll in a grid format and you just start checking off the images you want to bring over to your computer. Once you’re finished picking your pics, you hit the red sync button in the corner, select your computer and your pictures will pop onto that desktop. Worth every penny. $US2.
