LG’s Dual Core 2X Smartphone Launching Through Harvey Norman

title=Hands up who’s been bouncing up and down anxiously awaiting the first lot of dual-core smartphones to hit the market? You? And you? Well, here’s some good news – LG’s 2X, the dual-core Android handset running Nvidia’s Tegra 2 processor will be launching this month through Harvey Norman. And it’s definitely affordable!

The smartphone is destined to sell unlocked for $649, which seems incredibly cheap considering its dual-core processor, 1080p recording, Micro-HDMI port, 4-inch capacitive touchscreen, and 8GB of internal memory.

The phone does only support the 900/1900/2100 MHz UMTS bands, which means it won’t work on NextG, and it’s running Froyo instead of Gingerbread (but should be upgraded at some point), but those handicaps aside, the phone looks impressively specced and impressively priced.

Who wants one?
