What A Blade Runner’s Phone Would Look Like

Richard Clarkson designed this conceptual rotary smartphone as a reminder of what we’ve lost with the advent of touchscreens. A familiar subject, but the final product really oozes cyberpunk.

If you look hard, it looks very much like the bastard child of an iPhone, a rotary phone, and an old Sony Walkman. Clarkson constructed the body out of electroplated copper that he painted to give it a rusted, distinguished look. The brass dial can even be switched out for a keypad. You know. For those new-fangled touch-tone phones. [DesignBoom via Geekosystem]
