Optus has announced its pricing for the Blackberry Torch 9860 and Bold 9900 today. Both phones are available to pre-order now, but they won’t go on sale until September 1st.
The Torch 9860 starts from an appealing sounding $19 a month (but that includes a $15/month handset payment); bump it up to the $49 plan and there’s no handset repayment to worry about, with a minimum stated 24 month contract price of $778. The Bold 9900 starts at the same $19 price point, but with a $19 monthly handset payment, leading to a minimum contract price of $874. If you want the Bold 9900 for “free” (bearing in mind there’s really no such thing as a free handset) you’ll have to step up to the $79 plan. [Optus]
