They’ll work with your PC. They’ll work with your Android phone. They’ll work with your Mac.
Hilariously, they sometimes won’t work with your Nintendo Switch, but that’s another story.
Despite the fact console has only been out for a weekend and change, people are already figuring out ways to use Nintendo’s Joy-Cons with multiple other devices.
Case in point, this Nintendo fan site who managed to get the controllers working on Android:
Les Joy-Con sont également reconnus nativement sur PC et fonctionnent comme des manettes indépendantes. Idéal pour la co-op! #NintendoSwitch pic.twitter.com/fg1qIIlLZr

Exhibit B, Sam Williams managed to get them working as bluetooth controllers on a Mac:
Wow, bonus Nintendo Switch feature I wasn’t expecting: JoyCons easily double as OSX bluetooth controllers pic.twitter.com/3K99S1AAuF

It’s also possible to get the controllers working on PC on Windows, which is less surprising given that pretty much all controllers can work on PC with a little bit of messing around, but still. Pretty cool all up.
