Stream Videos From Your Android Phone To Practically Any Set-Top Box

The simple act of beaming something from your phone to a set-top box can be needlessly complicated. A new app called AllCast from developer ClockworkMod makes it super simple to view the photos and videos on your phone on virtually any connected TV platform.

The AllCast demo video over on Google Play makes the app look very easy.

After opening the app, it’ll automatically detect the devices connected to your network. Currently, AllCast supports Roku, Apple TV, the Xbox 360 and Xbox One, Samsung Smart TVs and Panasonic Smart TVs, and Google TV devices. Basically everything but Google Chromecast, really.

After you select the device to connect to, just select from your local photos and videos and, poof, there they are on your TV. Like Chromecast without the Chromecast (and the browser support). Everything should be this easy. [Google Play via Android Central]
