iPad Plans Coming To All Australian Carriers

Overnight Vodafone announced that it would be announcing plans for the iPad from the end of May for a host of regions around the world. Well, now the other networks are getting on board as well.

The local Voda announcement came care of VHA:

Vodafone and 3 mobile today announced that it will offer dedicated iPad price plans for all models from the end of May in Australia. The iPad lets users browse the web, read and send email, enjoy and share photos, watch HD videos, listen to music, play games, read ebooks and much more, all using iPad’s revolutionary Multi-Touch user interface. Telstra’s announcement came care of their Exchange blog:

Telstra today announced that it will offer dedicated iPad price plans from the end of May in Australia.

Sounds kind of familiar, doesn’t it?

Finally, Optus confirmed plans to David Flynn over at APC:

‘Optus today confirmed it will offer plans for all 3G-enabled iPad models from the end of May’.

Mind you – none of the announcements say that the carriers will actually be selling the iPad itself, just that they’ll have plans for it. So whether you’ll be able to grab a subsidised iPad, or have to buy a Micro SIM and go from there is still unknown.
