This Fighter Is Just Way Too Damn Close

This Dassault Rafale—a 4.5 generation twin-engined delta-wing jet fighter—was flying over Sion Air Base, Switserland, when Niels Boswinkel captured it with his Canon 500D. I don’t know where he’s located but, even with zoom lens, it’s too damn close.

I mean, anything is too close when it can fly at Mach 2. The image is part of Flight Global’s best cover competition, like this one, taken by Sunshine Band with a Canon ESO300D.
