Bert And Ernie Now Available For Your TomTom

Move over moustaches, it looks like November belongs to the Muppets this year. They’ve got a new movie coming out, there’s an online movement to have them host the Oscars, and now TomTom has announced a series of Sesame Street voices, starting with Bert and Ernie.

Their voicepack is available now for just $US13, and I’m hoping it includes gratuitous squeaks of Ernie’s rubber duckie, and of course his telltale snicker. KXKXKXKXKXKX! There’s no word on what other Sesame Street residents might be lending their voices as a GPS navigation aid, but there are plenty of characters perfect for the job. It’s hard not to imagine Elmo not getting his time in the recording studio, and Oscar the Grouch seems like the platonic idea of road rage. But none are as ideal for the job as The Count: “Eight, eight miles to go! Uh-uh-uh!” [TomTom via Pocket-lint]
