Samsung Just Changed The Galaxy Tab’s Design

Apple and Samsung are battling it out in German courts about the Galaxy Tab 10.1 possibly stealing ideas from the iPad (among other things), so Samsung went ahead and changed the design of the Tab in Germany so it wouldn’t look like an iPad anymore. Um, OK.

I’m not sure if this design change counts as an admission of guilt but it sure feels that way. What’s worse is that the new Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1N almost looks a wee bit more iPad 1-ish after the change. As you can see in the photo above, the metal frame of the Tab wraps around the edge of the tablet now (which is like totally different) and becomes more visible. The iPad 1 also had a slightly visible metal frame too. Hmm.

As we only get to see the face of the tablet, we don’t know what other changes Samsung might have made so there could be more but if this is it, I think Samsung might have to try a little harder. [MobiFlip.de via MacRumors]
