IKEA has to be the antithesis of art, right? Nothing you find in 80% of freshman dorms and my bedroom can be considered art. Or, you can hand it to photographer Carl Kleiner, and everything becomes beautiful.
The images, part of a new campaign for IKEA, are shot in the same manner as Kleiner’s Ikea cookbook: ultra-minimal, ultra-geometrical and ultra-pretty. No words, no price tags — just colours and forms speaking for themselves.
I’d feel like a shill talking about Ikea like this, but hey, it’s not like we don’t already shop there as it is. [TrendLand]
