Tron: Legacy director Joseph Kosinski teams up with a cast including an action movie staple, a former Bond girl and the owner of the best voice in the world for Oblivion — one of the best looking sci-fi movies I’ve seen in ages.
That’s right, the graphic novel of the same name is nearly finished in film-form, and it looks goddamn beautiful. Tom Cruise, Olga Kurylenko and Morgan Freeman are all along for the ride.
Here’s the plot:
Jack Harper (Tom Cruise) is one of the last few drone repairmen stationed on Earth. Part of a massive operation to extract vital resources after decades of war with a terrifying threat known as the Scavs, Jack’s mission is nearly complete.
Living in and patrolling the skies from thousands of feet above, his soaring existence is brought crashing down when he rescues an attractive female stranger from a downed spacecraft. Her arrival triggers a chain of events that forces him to question everything he knows and puts the fate of humanity in his hands.
I can’t wait to see this one.
