It just happened at a petrol station in New Jersey: cars got filled with kerosene after a delivery tank truck mistakenly filled one of the pumps deposits with aeroplane fuel. So what happened next? Did the cars explode in flames? Did they run faster?
Actually, the response is (fortunately) a letdown: the cars just stalled. The engines just failed, unable to combust the fuel, leaving drivers stranded on the road. According to the hazardous materials crews on the scene, there’s no danger of the cars catching on fire. The station has been closed as they locate the deposit with the aeroplane fuel inside. [CBS]
