Sydney And Melbourne To Host Rock, Paper, Scissors, Lizard, Spock Tournaments

Presto has secured the rights to the Big Bang Theory, and to mark the occasion, it’s hosting two massive tournaments of Rock, Paper, Scissors, Lizard, Spock. If you’re in Sydney or Melbourne, you’ll be able to try your hand at the five-dimensional game of pure skill (don’t let anyone tell you different).

Starting today, you can stream the first seven seasons of The Big Bang Theory on Presto, a show which briefly enjoyed the “most watched” title in the US, before being overtaken by the chronicles of a certain promiscuous uncle.

If you haven’t seen the now famous episode in which Sheldon rattles off the rules, you can see it below:

Ha, ha, ha. Get it? It’s funny because he has Asperger’s.

Presto is under the impression that this is the first competition of its kind, which it almost certainly isn’t. It’s also easy to think The Big Bang Theory invented the game, which it definitely did not. But like so many other things, the laughing-at-the-expense-of-nerds show thrust it into the limelight, which can be kind of a good thing. After all, it had the same effect on escape rooms, which thoroughly deserve said limelight.

You can head to King’s Comics in Sydney on Saturday, December 12th, or All Star Comics in Melbourne on Sunday, December 13th.
