Woody Harrelson continues to tease his Han Solo character. Supergirl talks about Cat Grant and Superman’s return. A Star Wars legend could be coming to Rebels‘ final season. Plus, weird new pictures from Gotham, new peeks at Thor: Ragnarok and Wonder Woman, and Riverdale has found its new Reggie. Spoilers!
New Mutants
According to Borys Kitt at THR: Heat Vision, James McAvoy will not return as Professor X as previously rumoured. Meanwhile, contrary to earlier rumours, Nat Wolff has not been cast as Cannonball/Sam Guthrie, either.
On NEW MUTANTS: other rumored castings – James McAvoy as Prof X – not true. He is not in movie, per sources.

The Batman
To the surprise of absolutely no one, Josh Gad told MTV he was “just putting things out there” when he posted an uncaptioned image of the Penguin on Twitter, leading to a flurry of blogs claiming he was “hinting” as being cast as the character.
Just having some fun … Really. I promise. There’s no ‘there’ there. You know what? The internet just goes wild — I’m just having some fun. Just putting things out there.
I have not met Matt Reeves. No, no, no. Seems like a lovely guy. Love his work … No, never! I would absolutely be open to playing the Penguin in The Batman movie … there’s nothing more we need to talk about. It’s all — we’ll see.
Bumblebee
Transformers News noticed Hasbro has patented a new logo for the Bumblebee spinoff movie.
Transformers: The Last Knight
Speaking of which, Bumblebee protects a thirsty woman from Barricade in this Chinese commercial for Coca-Cola.
Han Solo
Speaking to the Evening Standard, Woody Harrelson revealed his roguish mentor, Beckett, is still “good at heart”.
I am totally psyched to be making a Star Wars film. But the secrecy is on another level. What I can say he’s a good character, he is a mentor to Han and a criminal, but good at heart.
A charming rogue in a Star Wars movie? Well I never!
Rampage
Dwayne Johnson shared a set picture of his character getting arrested with Naomie Harris on Facebook.
Thor: Ragnarok

Star Wars: Rebels
Star Wars News Net reports Ian McDiarmid could be joining the cast of the show’s final season to reprise his role as Emperor Palpatine.
Supergirl
Both Cat Grant and Superman play pivotal roles in the season finale, according to executive producer Andrew Kreisberg:
I don’t want to tease too much about how they return because both Superman’s return and Cat’s return are great surprises; how it happens, you’ll be shocked at both of their appearances. This is Kara’s darkest hour. It’s perfect that she has both Superman and Cat, who are these great stabilizing influences in her life — Cat, who tends to have a good handle on what Kara needs, and Clark has a pretty good handle on what Supergirl needs. She needs them both desperately because she’s faced with some truly awful decisions to make in the finale and choices that affect her both as Kara and as Supergirl. Having her surrogate mother and surrogate brother there to make these decisions, it’s good to have them there.
In a separate article, Kresiberg claims the production “saved a bunch of money” to pay for the finale’s visual effects, which explains why we’ve only been hearing Guardian spring his shield, lately.
There’s multiple showdowns coming up. These are some of our biggest episodes we’ve ever done. The finale is probably the biggest episode we’ve ever done. We saved a bunch of money to pay for more visual effects and actually added another day to the schedule so we could make it as big as possible, and yet it also has multiple get-your-Kleenex scenes. We’re really excited about it. We’re all blown away.
