Crashing This Flying Tortilla RC Plane Is A Delicious Disaster

Video: Peter Sripol is a talented engineer with an obsession for building RC planes using unorthodox materials. Instead of balsa wood, he’s built working aircraft using LEGO, and even Kentucky Fried Chicken buckets. But his masterpiece is successfully turning a tortilla into the world’s first edible aircraft.

After using flatbreads to assemble more traditional-looking planes that crashed immediately after takeoff. Sripol switched to a flying wing design based on a round tortilla. Getting it to actually fly required the assistance of a drone to first hoist it high in the sky, but after a brief free fall once released, it eventually became a surprisingly stable RC toy — and definitely the most delicious we’ve ever seen.
