Video: The first trailer for Stephen King’s The Dark Tower will be here tomorrow. And in anticipation, stars Idris Elba and Matthew McConaughey just revealed the first two pieces of footage.
They did this on Twitter, where they assumed the personas of their characters, the Gunslinger and the Man in Black, for a brief exchange.
@idriselba I know this. Deal with it. #DarkTowerMovie pic.twitter.com/NdDw4qtD0w
— Matthew McConaughey (@McConaughey) May 2, 2017
And the response:
@McConaughey I deal in lead. #DarkTowerMovie pic.twitter.com/IvpjVKFHCH

We get our first glimpse of the Man in Black walking in some kind of frozen battlefield — and then, in the second clip, we see one of the doors that link worlds for the characters, and a brief peek at how the Gunslinger’s superhuman ability to use his revolvers will be presented on screen.
We’ll have the full trailer tomorrow. But, for now, go ahead and hyper-analyse this first footage from the highly anticipated film, out August 17.
