Did you know the polycarbonate plastic material that Dyson uses for the dirt collecting bins on its vacuums is the same material used to make police riot shields? From head-to-head comparisons with its competitors, to usability studies involving actual 3D motion capture data of someone vacuuming, Dyson appears to really take this suction thing very, very seriously. And seeing the DC 41 shrug off a 14kg weight dropped onto its dirt bin makes us optimistic that no obstacle will ever get in the way of our bi-annual cleaning.
