On April 23, 2005, YouTube co-founder Jawed Karim uploaded a masterpiece of mundanity to YouTube, his newly launched video portal. Behold.
10 years of YouTube! Can you believe it? I’m not going to bore you with the blah, blah, blah about how YouTube changed the planet because it’s obvious that YouTube changed the planet. Just take 19 seconds, and watch Jawed talk about elephants at the zoo for no good reason at all.
Now Jawed is worth something like $US140 million, and we all use YouTube every day. So here I am, paying my respects. What hath God wrought.
