A Note From Your Friendly Giz AU Editor

Hi Gizmodians. Thank God it’s Friday – am I right? Anyway, I thought I should write you a little note to let you know what’s happening here on Giz over the next couple of weeks, because I’m not going to be around. Never fear though – I am coming back!

From today, I’m taking a little break, which coincides with the birth of Broughall Jnr No. 1™ sometime today. I’ll be off for two weeks, returning on Tuesday October 6. During that time, you can expect all the regular US content to be filtered down thanks to our Night Editor Elly as per usual. But to bring you all the local stuff, I’ve got Chris Oaten, former tech editor for the Adelaide Advertiser and former editor of Macworld Australia on board from Monday. Chris has got years of experience playing with gadgets, and is a self-confessed Mac fanboy – but he’s a nice guy, so go easy on him.

My byline won’t disappear over the next couple of weeks though. We’ve got a really exciting Giz AU theme week starting in late September, and the team has been busting its balls to get stuff ready for that, so hopefully you’ll enjoy reading it as much as we enjoyed putting it together.

I’ll see you next month!
