It’s a sad day for AAPT’s unlimited broadband plan customers, with James Hutchison from Computerworld reporting that the 24/7 unlimited plans are going to be killed off next month as part of the iiNet acquisition.
According to Computerworld, unlimited AAPT customers have until November 10 to cancel or change their plan before the plan is removed from the system. Current AAPT customers are currently being offered the ability to switch plans or cancel their contract without fees.
AAPT was the first ISP to offer truly unlimited data plans in Australia, so it’s a sad development that their pioneering plan is soon to be extinct. Mind you, if anyone here can get near a terabyte a month on a regular basis for a home connection, we’ll be officially impressed.
