HTC Sensation Now Available From Telstra

HTC’s new flagship Android phone arrives exclusively to Telstra today. It’s a wee bit pricey at $792 outright, but perhaps a bit more manageable on a new $79 per month contract over 24-months. HTC has also promised that the Sensation will be one the first devices it releases an unlocked bootloader for in August.

That’ll let you replace the Sense UI and install apps you otherwise couldn’t. Meanwhile, that $79 Telstra Freedom Connect plan I mentioned is probably the best bet for new customers. Unlike the $49 and $59 plans, you don’t get hit up for a $30 per month handset charge as well.

One key highlight of the Sensation is the 540×960 resolution of its 4.3-inch touch screen. The also 4.3-inch HTC Desire HD and Samsung Galaxy S II both do 480×800; as does the 4-inch HTC Incredible S. [Telstra]
