I’m sad that this awesome expandable caravan is not real (yet). It’s the only caravan I would consider towing with the 1973 Porsche 911 Carrera RS I don’t have (yet). I imagine myself bringing it to the Valley of the Gods and waking up looking through that window.
Created by student Jakub Novák, the Odorico Pordenone — named after Italian medieval traveller Odoric of Pordenone — is not just a pie in the sky design project. The mechanics of its expandable architecture are solid engineering, not just a pretty rendering. It’s just waiting for some company to licence it and put it into production.
