Or at least, what you can read of it, because vast swathes have been redacted. Still, there are bits you can actually read, so let’s take a look.
A few interesting things that we can learn from the document:
- Both Apple and HTC are getting a non-exclusive, non-transferrable and non-sublicensable licence to some of each other’s patents.
- Apple has agreed not to sue HTC over certain covered products (details over which are, however, redacted).
- Apple’s design patents seem to have been excluded from the document.
This document was entered into the public record by Samsung, who initially asked about the finer details of the HTC-Apple agreement.
