Google Fit Hits The Play Store

Google Fit Hits The Play Store

Google Fit just hit the Play Store, and, well, it looks pretty much exactly like Google said it would. It also looks a heck of a lot like Apple’s HealthKit and corresponding Health app — not in terms of design but in terms of features. That said, it does look pretty useful!

Like Health does in iOS, Google Fit handles many of your fitness-tracking needs using the sensors on your phone and also supports third-party devices, including those that run Android Wear (duh). That mean you can look at all of your fitness data in one place as well as set goals for yourself throughout the day. Finally, you can check back on the data that Google Now has been handing out for months now. Google Fit also offers recommendations for those goals, you know, in case you need a really affordable personal trainer experience. Download it now, for free. [Google Play]
