Here Are The Next Suburbs To Get The NBN

The National Broadband Network is still a thing! The company building the network (whatever it’s called these days) has just released its three-year construction plan. Here are the suburbs next in line.

The NBN Co identified a whopping 7.5 million premises set to get the NBN over the next three years. It’s a little tricky in that the premises identified won’t all get active connections in that time: this is just a construction plan. An outline of the places that will see construction kick off over the next three years.

The plan has been updated to reflect the multi-technology mix rollout approach of the Coalition NBN, and includes areas where hybrid-fibre coaxial networks will be used to provide coverage. This is mainly in metropolitan areas. iTNews has a great breakdown of the places that will use various technologies.

NBN Co says it’s on track for 8 million premises connected by 2020.

The sheer number of suburbs getting included in the next wave is mind boggling, meaning that the fastest way to browse all of them is to check out the updated NBN coverage maps. Head over here to check your address.
