Holiday gift ads usually suck, but this one — a heart-warming reminder of every child’s daydreams of space and the man that lives on the moon — is just too good not to watch.
John Lewis, the British department store that created the video, has a fine track record for heartwarming seasonal ads. Last year it was about this wonderful Calvin and Hobbes-style story about a kid and his penguin. This year’s, I think, is better.
