Video: If you live in a big city like Los Angeles or San Francisco, you do your part for the drought in California by watering your plants less and maybe by showering a song or two faster. But if you live in a small town like Stratford in California’s Central Valley during the drought? You’re trying to not lose your community.
Th eye-opening short documentary When a Town Runs Dry by Go Project Films gives a powerful look at what the drought has done to the small towns across California. Farmland is barren; canals have dried up; and the people have left. Store owners are closing down; workers have no jobs; and some farmers have left more than half of their farm uncultivated. It is really, really tough out there.
