There’s Another Surprise DC Superhero In Suicide Squad

We’ve known for quite a while that the Dark Knight would be paying a visit to the Joker and Harley in Suicide Squad — but a newly released press kit for the film has now confirmed that another superhero will be making a cameo in the movie.

Seriously, if you don’t want to know, turn back now.

There’s Another Surprise DC Superhero In Suicide Squad

A press kit released to the media today including a full cast list for Suicide Squad has confirmed that Ezra Miller’s Flash will appear in the movie, presumably alongside fellow Justice League member Batman. Here’s an image of the cast list included in our own copy of the press kit, confirming Miller’s credit:

Considering that the list is in order of appearance, it looks like the Flash actually appears relatively early on in the movie, making his appearance before even main characters like El Diablo, Killer Croc, Enchantress and Rick Flag do.

We learned at Comic-Con this past weekend that the movie is set after the events of Batman v Superman, so it makes sense that the members of the nascent Justice League, being formed by Bruce in the wake of Superman’s “death”, have a role to play in this world. Presumably (or at least, hopefully) we’ll be seeing Miller in his Justice League suit shown at Comic-Con, rather than the ragged mess he wore in Batman v Superman, too. It will be interesting to see how Barry Allen fits into the events of the movie.

Suicide Squad hits theatres next week on August 4.
