James Bond
Tom Hardy addresses the occasional rumour that he’s being lined up to play Bond:
You know, there’s a saying amongst us in the fraternity of acting, and in the fellowship of my peer group, that if you talk about it you’re automatically out of the race. So I can’t possibly comment on that one! If I mention it, it’s gone. But Chris Nolan, what a fantastic director for a Bond movie. Because Daniel is so good, and what [Sam] Mendes and Barbara [Broccoli] have done has been so impressive, that it would be a very hard re-imagination to follow after. I wonder what the next instalment of that franchise would become, and I think when you mention someone like Christopher Nolan, that’s a very powerful figure to bring into that world who could bring something new and create something profound… again.

The Flash
Rick Cosnett — who played Iris’ love interest/Central City PD detective Eddie Thawne in the first season of the show — has announced that he will, somehow, be making a return to the show in the near future.
https://twitter.com/RickCosnett/status/821028452903972864
Given it was recently confirmed that Robbie Amell would also be coming back, expect either a flashback to season one or, just as likely with The Flash, some time travel nonsense.
Here’s the synopsis for episode 11, “Dead or Alive”.
H.R.’s (Tom Cavanagh) past catches up with him when a bounty hunter with vibe powers named Gypsy (guest star Jessica Camacho) arrives in Central City to bring him back to Earth-19 to stand trial for his crime. It turns out inter-dimensional travel is illegal on their Earth. H.R. surrenders but when Barry (Grant Gustin) and Cisco (Carlos Valdes) find out that H.R.’s only hope would be to challenge Gypsy to a fight to the death, they intercede and Cisco offers to fight Gypsy instead.
The Defenders
Finn Jones tells EW that the show will feel like a continuation of Danny’s journey on Iron Fist:
Iron Fist is like Danny in his adolescence, and The Defenders is like Danny taking responsibility and moving forward with his purpose,” Jones continued. “He’s craving desperately for family, for help, for guidance, for people to learn from, and for a team [in The Defenders]. But because of what happens in Iron Fist, he’s very untrusting. It’s really his way or no way.
I see it as kind of this journey where Iron Fist and The Defenders is like the complete first season of Danny’s journey.
Legion
The show will dance around David’s comic book connections to Charles Xavier, according to producer Lauren Shuler Donner:
We just don’t want to get into the Xavier world, because that’s not what this show is about. Probably the driving mystery is, yes, who is David? But not in that sense. It’s more, “Is David schizophrenic? Is he crazy? Or does he have powers?” That is the mystery. “Who is David?”

Tales From the Crypt
TNT has released a statement about the recent reports that M. Night Shyamalan’s reboot of the show being doomed:
The underlying rights to this classic, vintage property are complicated. TNT and others have been pursuing a solution for more than a year, with significant progress being made. We look forward to the potential for further active development of this valuable franchise once the clearance process is fully resolved.
A Series of Unfortunate Events
Unsurprisingly, Netflix has renewed the show for a second season. [EW]
Stranger Things
Shawn Levy teases bigger stakes in store for season two:
Season 2 is bigger and potentially darker in its stakes. The threat, which in Season 1 was to Will Byers, has grown. That’s all I’m going to say! But, I will say Season 2 has a bigger cast and is definitely loyal to the kind of magical storytelling that we established in the first season. It’s character-based and still about our core group of characters.
Now that we’ve done a season, we know exactly about our characters. We are very conscious of them and can take them to the next level. I think we’ve grown up a little bit, and our characters have too. They have been through a lot and have used those experiences to help them grow and to be stronger in Season 2.
Riverdale
Jughead speaks! Coule Sprouse talks all things Jughead in a new video interview.
Here’s another TV spot for the show, with little in the way of new footage.
A synopsis for “A Touch of Evil”, the second episode of the series, has been released. This show continues to sound delightfully wild.
As new details of Jason’s death begin to emerge, Archie (KJ Apa) pleads with Miss Grundy (guest star Sarah Habel) to come forward with what they heard at Sweetwater River. Betty (Lili Reinhart) makes an effort to mend her friendship with Archie but takes a different stance with Veronica (Camila Mendes), who is trying to make up for her actions. With rumours around her brother’s death running rampant, Cheryl (Madelaine Petsch) deals with the pressure in true Queen Bee fashion, while tensions boil over when Jughead (Cole Sprouse) stumbles upon a secret Archie was hoping to keep hidden. Finally, plans for the annual fall pep rally move forward with a performance by Josie (Ashleigh Murray) and the Pussycats and a special appearance by Mayor McCoy (guest star Robin Givens.) Marisol Nichols, Madchen Amick and Luke Perry also star.
Arrow
Oliver Queen meets Talia al Ghul in a new synopsis for “Second Chances”.
In his quest to take down Kovar, Oliver (Stephen Amell) gets help from a surprising source — Talia al Ghul (guest star Lexa Doig). However, when she reveals what she wants from him in exchange, Oliver isn’t sure he can accept her help. Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) attempts to hack the NSA to help free Diggle (David Ramsey) but when her online efforts are flagged, she faces off against an unknown adversary. Meanwhile, Curtis (Echo Kellum) tells the team about a female vigilante, Tina Boland (guest star Juliana Harkavay), he uncovered online who has been wreaking havoc all over the country.
Legends of Tomorrow
The titular Legion strikes in a new synopsis for “The Legion of Doom”.
The Legends are determined to find and rescue Rip (Arthur Darvill), but first must focus on locating the Spear of Destiny. Stein (Victor Garber) thinks he has the perfect person to help but knows involving her will be risky. Meanwhile, Malcom Merlyn (guest star John Barrowman) and Damien Darhk (guest star Neal McDonough) realise that Thawne (guest star Matt Letscher) is pitting them against each other. Caity Lotz, Brandon Routh, Dominic Purcell, Nick Zano, Franz Drameh and Maisie Richardson-Sellers also star.
Agents of SHIELD
Patton Oswalt returns as two of the Koenig “brothers” in a new synopsis for the intriguingly titled “Hot Potato Soup.”
Agents Sam and Billy Koenig (Patton Oswalt) are hunted down to get at the Darkhold book, and only Coulson and the team can save them before the clock ticks out.
Supergirl
Finally, Livewire returns in a new press release for “We Can Be Heroes”.
After Livewire seemingly breaks out of prison, Supergirl is intent on recapturing her. After training Mon-El, Supergirl takes him with her when she sees Livewire attack the NCPD but things go awry when Mon-El puts Supergirl before the citizens of National City. Meanwhile, James decides to come clean with Kara and M’Gann, has a psychic attack and collapses into a coma.
