Even though this is hardly a certainty, just in case:

Bryan Cranston Might Have Confirmed A Major Rumour About The Power Rangers Movie

Power Rangers Megaforce’s Red Ranger Andrew Grey recently shared an autographed copy of Cranston’s memoir, A Life In Parts, which the actor had given Grey for his birthday. According to the now-deleted Instagram post, Cranston included a note inside the book that said, “To a Power Ranger, from a Power Ranger.”

By itself, this might sound a little innocuous, but it does lend credence to the persistent rumour that Cranston’s Zordon starts the movie out as a Red Ranger from 10,000 years in the past who, along with his buddies, traps Rita Repulsa until she’s “FREE!” by detonating a black hole.

This actually sounds kind of cool, and gives a new spin on the origin story without breaking the canon. If Zordon sacrificed himself to trap Rita Repulsa and save the world, it explains why Zordon is trapped in an energy field that leaves him confined to his hidden base. Plus, it gives him an even stronger connection to the Rangers, because he knows what they’re going through. However, one major question remains: Are we gonna see middle-aged Cranston kicking arse in a Red Ranger suit? Because that’s all I want out of this movie now.

We’ll just have to wait and see whether Cranston’s memo was a harbinger of things to come, or just a thing that rangers like to say to each other because they’re rangers. Power Rangers comes out March 23.
