Walking RC Flamethrower Is Thomas The Tank Engine Meets Mad Max

Video: You can re-watch every last episode of Thomas the Tank Engine & Friends, but at no point will you find a freakish, six-legged walking version of Thomas terrorising the Island of Sodor with a flamethrower. This is a custom creation, built by Peter Sripol, who was obviously a big fan of Toy Story’s deranged character Sid.

Sripol started with a robot hexapod that originally came with the ability to launch tiny foam discs — which is boring. So in addition to upgrading the electronics, servos and motors inside it, he added a custom-built miniature flamethrower that puts this RC toy in the “do not try this at home” category — unless you live next to a fire station.
