Han Solo

TMZ has a bevy of images from filming, featuring Ehrenreich milling around the set (in a new costume), which is packed with all sorts of amazingly weird Star Wars speeder/normal car hybrids for filming. Head to the link below to see the full set of pictures.

Here’s a mostly very unexciting set video courtesy of Making Star Wars that shows at least a few of the above vehicles in action, for some kind of drag race. Please feel free to make your best “Now this is podracing!” joke in the comments below.

Javier Bardem has confirmed to Cinema Blend he’s in active talks to star in the Frankenstein reboot.

Yeah, well, there are talks. And I would love to be part of it. Because it’s an iconic… speaking of an iconic character! I have the size of the head. [Laughs] That’s for sure. They’re not going to waste a lot of money in makeup, that’s for sure.

Avengers: Infinity War

The production is currently casting “real” police officers, firefighters and EMTs in Georgia. [AJC]

We also have a synopsis from Licence! Global magazine.

As the Avengers and their allies have continued to protect the world from threats too large for any one hero to handle, a new danger has emerged from the cosmic shadows. A despot of intergalactic infamy, his goal is to collect all six Infinity Stones, artifacts of unimaginable power, and use them to inflict his twisted will on all of reality. Everything the Avengers have fought for has led up to this moment — the fate of the Earth and existence itself has never been more uncertain.

Ant-Man & The Wasp

Actor David Dastmalchian (he plays Kurt) hyped Ant-Man & The Wasp during an interview with Entertainment Weekly.

I can say Ant-Man & The Wasp is going to do things in the Marvel universe that they haven’t gotten an opportunity to do yet and I just got some tidbits the other day and they’re mind-blowing. It’s going to be really cool.

Spider-Man: Homecoming

Peter Parker tags a water tower in the latest motion poster.

Gold Coast 9 News captured footage of the Aqua-crew filming inside a humongous swimming pool. Signage reads “Amnesty Bay Fish Co-Op” and “Terry’s Sunken Galleon”.

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales

A clip of Captain Jack confronting Salazar premiered on Jimmy Kimmel Live.

Cars 3

The latest TV spot proves the Cars franchise is perilously close to doing a slow-motion montage of Lightning McQueen turfing out to Johnny Cash’s cover of “Hurt”.

Atomic Blonde

A brutalised Charlize Theron hurts many, many people in the latest TV spot.

Wonder Woman

Speaking with Collider, Patty Jenkins talks about how the supporting cast of the film influences Diana’s perspectives on humanity.

The challenge was to see both the good and the bad of mankind. And, you know, Steve really ends up, like, representing the good and the complexity of mankind. But Doctor Poison and General Ludendorff are great examples of the bad of mankind. And they’re also great examples of how that is not conscientious choice to be a villain. Every villain has their belief system that makes perfect sense to them.

And here’s a poster of Wonder Woman lifting a tank over her head, as she’s wont to do. [Coming Soon]

The Gifted

Star Stephen Moyer would neither confirm or deny if his wife, Anna Paquin, would reprise her role as Rogue for a cameo.

Well, obviously she is in the X-Men universe. Her character, obviously, could possibly … I don’t know, I don’t quite understand the timeline because obviously, the X-Men timeline is very, very specific, so never say never, but I don’t know. I don’t want to say anything that gets me into trouble.

Stephen Amell revealed an unreported castmate of yore will make a surprise cameo in the finale, along with seemingly every cast member of Arrow past and present.

The Defenders

During the Defenders panel at Comicpalooza, Finn Jones promised Iron Fist is working on being more responsible and heroic heading into the season:

The thing [with] Danny is that we’re taking an ordinary kid with a lot of issues and we’re trying to iron those out first before getting to Danny as Iron Fist. And what we’ll [see] in Defenders is Danny coming to terms with being a superhero. In the Defenders when he first starts, he doesn’t even know what a superhero is and then he meets those guys and he’s like ‘WHOA. This is cool,’ and by the end of it you kind of see Danny really coming to the grips with his responsibility in a much more mature way.

Luke Cage

In an interview with Mashable, showrunner Cheo Hodari Coker stated season two won’t be dictated by the events of The Defenders, comparing the Netflix heroes with members of the Wu-Tang Clan.

It’s like the Wu-Tang. You’ve got the Wu-Tang Clan record, which is what The Defenders represents. Say that Luke Cage is Ghostface, say that Jessica Jones is Method Man. It’s like they’re all kind of part of the same clique, but each record sounds different.

So that’s really the analogy I would make, is that they acknowledge each other, but they’re not really dependent on each other. But because it’s the same crews, and the same family, the same feel, it’s all interconnected — but it doesn’t mean that one really dictates the direction of the other.

Producer Robert Aguirre-Sacasa compared the Cheryl Blossom of season two to Fury Road‘s Furiosa.

What happens to her in the finale is sort of the most elemental, primal thing. She’s baptized in a river of ice and then she steps through and rises from the fires like a phoenix, and I think it absolutely changes her in that she has nothing to lose now. She’s burned away what she thinks was her weakness — her love of Jason, her respect of her family. That’s all been burnt away now. She’s almost like Charlize Theron in Mad Max: Fury Road, Furiosa. That’s Cheryl, I think, on the other side of the finale. It’s a harder, much darker, much more powerful character because her mum was quite cruel to her in season 1 — really cruel to her, and they withheld love from her.

General Zod debuts in the extended trailer for this week’s season finale.

Doctor Who

Finally, here’s the trailer — and a synopsis — for this week’s episode, “Pyramid at the End of the World”.

A 5,000 year-old Pyramid stands at the centre of a war zone, where the Chinese, Russian and American armies are about to clash. There are many problems with that, but the one that intrigues the Doctor is this: there wasn’t a pyramid there yesterday. The Doctor, Bill and Nardole face an alien invasion unlike any other, and before conquest can begin, these aliens need the consent of the human race.
