Video: At the 2016 Intel International Science and Engineering fair (AKA ‘The Olympics for Science’), for the very first time in its 67 year history, an Australian took out first prize.
That Australian was 16 year old inventor Macinley Butson, and she has just been named NSW Young Australian of the Year.
Among Macinley’s inventions are a device that dramatically improves protection for women from radiation during breast cancer treatment, and a project that improves the effectiveness of solar panel technology.
