Drones, Esports And Battle Robots: What’s On At Hybrid World Adelaide Today

Hybrid World Adelaide kicked off last night with an incredible “water screen” and the promise of a tech-filled fun free weekend for the folks on Kaurna country.

The event is held at the Adelaide Convention Centre, with most activities running until 4pm. Gizmodo are there on the ground, so keep an eye on our instagram to see all the action, and if you see us come and say hi!

Drone Racing – Free Event

Ever wanted to be a Top Gun pilot but from the safety of your favourite camping chair? You’ll get a rush of adrenaline from our First Person View (FPV) Racing Drones at Hybrid World Adelaide.

Watch some of Australia’s best FPV Pilots attack the custom indoor circuit and strap yourself in for a joyride. Come along to a drone info session too and you’ll have the chance to hover one yourself.

Here’s a family activity with a difference. Adelaide Robot Combat will bring combat robots to HWA to fight in a hazard-filled arena

esports is coming to Hybrid World Adelaide at this blockbuster National High School Esports Rocket League Championship.

Launched by the Adelaide Crows, the High School Esports League (HSEL) is running the competition to raise the profile of esports as a legitimate form of sport. Hybrid World Adelaide and HSEL are calling on every student in high schools across Australia to participate, learn and compete safely, all while having fun at the same time.
