We know that Orlando Bloom is returning to the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise, but we haven’t gotten an actual glimpse of Will Turner in the footage we’ve seen so far. Now, we are at least sure we’ve seen his genes.

This was something everyone has suspected for a while, but Brenton Thwaites’ character has been called “Henry”, no last name, for a long time. But a new behind-the-scenes featurette has named his character “Henry Turner”. See at the 1:03 mark:
So Will Turner is probably his dad. And Elizabeth (Keira Knightley) is probably his mum. The last time we saw them, Will was the captain of the Flying Dutchman, only allowed on land once every 10 years — which means that, presumably, Henry was conceived on one of those days. And he’s probably the son we saw at the end of At World’s End, even though that young kid was named in the credits as “Young Will Turner”.
Either he’s trying to hide his connection to his famous family with the name change or he goes by a middle name — like many people who share a name with other family members do. If Henry’s goal is to find his father, that twist would partially explain why we haven’t seen any clips of Will yet.
Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales premieres May 25.
