Joining the Dell Adamo in the annals of lightweight laptop history—and unsuccessful MacBook Air competitors—is the HP Envy 13, whose smooth lines and all-metal, svelte shape weren’t enough to keep HP from canning it for good this week.
But all is not completely lost, Envy fans. Sort of. HP promises the Envy 14 model will remain, even though that version, for the most part, shares what made the Envy 13 special in name only.
Nevertheless, if this laptop still has a thin rectangular shape in your heart, the recent fire sales for the Envy 13 (no doubt HP’s way of clearing inventory before this week’s cancelation) should continue for a while until all the stock is gone from store shelves. [CNET]
