A Dyson vacuum is almost as much a design-lust object as an appliance, and the new DC41 Animal (cool name for a vacuum!) only pushes that rep. Where’d all those weird hoses go? Hidden with minimalist magics.
The Ball vacs have been around for a while, but the DC41 makes has the best balls of all. There’s a new shape-adapting form, which shifts the ball’s surface to fit various floor types for maximum sucking. As well, the vacuum mechanism itself has been crammed into the rotating base — it’s purely aesthetic, but, hey, you know what you’re paying for when you start looking at one of these. The Animal hits tomorrow for $US600. [Dyson]
