Dick Smith Electronics Lauches Post-Paid Mobile Services

Using “part of the Telstra network”. Hmm… where have I heard that before?

Dick Smith Electronics has sold phones for a while, but it’s just announced a partnership with Think Mobile to also offer up post-paid phone plans through its stores, using either Vodafone’s 3G network or “part of the Telstra 3G” network.

So which phones will it offer? The $59.95 Swift 3G Ultimate plan with unlimited standard calls and texts as well as 4GB of data will come with your choice of a Samsung Galaxy S 4 Active, Samsung Galaxy Note II, Samsung Galaxy S III, Nokia Lumia 925, Sony XperiaTM Z or HTC One.

In the slightly cheaper aisle, the $50 “Classic 3G” plan gives you the choice of the Motorola Razr HD, Samsung GALAXY Express, LG Optimus L7 II Dual SIM, Samsung ATIV S or Huawei Ascend P6.

Dick Smith also announced a range of satellite phone sleeves and accessories, as well as a $99 mobile insurance offering.
