When Chinese smartphone maker OnePlus launched the One back in 2013, it redefined what a budget smartphone could be. Now, we have a glimpse of the follow-up device.
These images have leaked out from the Chinese wireless regulator Tenaa and unearthed by Engadget, ahead of the expected July 27th announcement of the OnePlus Two. We already knew that the device should feature USB Type-C and fingerprint scanner — in fact, you can see the presence of the latter in the above images.
Elsewhere, the pictures don’t give too much away — although perhaps there isn’t too much to give away. The same textured back as the One is present, as are its clean, simple lines. Interestingly, the camera setup, with its single lens, is much lower than usual on the back of the phone.
In terms of what’s inside, OnePlus has already offered up a reasonably detailed breakdown of specs: you can expect a Snapdragon 810 CPU, 4GB of RAM, 13-megapixel camera, dual SIMs and a 3300mAh battery. Perhaps the biggest unknown is price. The original OnePlus cost $US300; we can’t imagine this one being any cheaper. But you only have until next Monday to find out.
